I wrote hundreds of songs for this band, which consisted of Davin Patterson - keys/bass, vocals, Brendan Wilson - bass, vocals, Iain Wilson - Drums and myself on vocals and guitar (early members included- Andrew Hunt, Vocals and guitar). I learnt to write songs in this band, which was approx 1996-2001. During this period I had a songwriting contract with BMG records, and some of the songs, such as Happy Tuesday, recieved national airplay on Triple J, and on Queensland stations such as B105 and FM104. The song "79" also got some airplay and we were Unearthed by Triple J due to it. We played the song live to air, which was a real buzz. "Everyone Loves You" was used on a movie soundtrack, which was also exciting.
We were interviewed on triple J a couple of times during this period and had a bunch of record companies following us around, waiting to see if they had anything they could sell. Sadly, it didn't eventuate the way we planned and the brisbane buzz ended after a couple of years. But I'm still proud of a lot of these songs.
The song Thunderbird 2 features members of the Resin Dogs. Dave helped us produce the song, and DJ Katch manned the turntables.
'Heartbeat Radio' was a song written by Jeremy and myself. His band Dos Hell performed it. Eskimo was recorded at Red Zed Studios, a classic brisbane studio. We won the Rock Awards in 1996, and recieved a studio package, with which we recorded our first EP, which featured Happy Tuesday (collection A) but we also recorded Eskimo (C), Ugly Duckling (E), New Age Companion (D), Fire Engine (B) Nursery (D) and Bra (B) there, plus a few others.
Davin Patterson played on a lot of these, and programmed sequencers for tracks like "Please Please Let Me Down" and "Astronaut"
